Lastline Enterprise On-Premises Release Notes

Version 2.17

New features

  • Support for in-browser de-anonymization of anonymized IP address and hostnames of internal hosts has been added.

De-anonymization feature details

In the alert view, inside the "Change Display Option" settings pane, the user can enter an "Anoymization password". Such password must match the password previously set up on the Lastline Previct Sensor.

The password will be used to de-anonymize the IP addresses and hostnames of internal hosts. Once the password has been entered, previously anonymized IP addresses and hostnames will no longer be anonymized, however existing non-anonymized IP addresses and hostnames will become meaningless.

The password is stored encrypted in the browser local storage and never sent to Lastline or over the network.
