Version 4.4
New features
- Support for full-MTA mode for mail analysis
- Support for mail-only Previct Sentinel configurations
- Bug fixes
Full-MTA mode
A Previct Sentinel can now be configured to act as a full mail server, receiving emails on port 25, analyzing them for malicious attachments or URLs, and forwarding them on to another mail server for further processing. To enable this configuration, select the "full MTA" option in the "Email Protocol" dropdown in the sensor configuration. In full-MTA mode, the Previct Sentinel can be configured to block malicious attachments or URLs from being delivered.
Mail-only Sentinel configuration
A Previct Sentinel can now be configured to exclusively perform mail analysis. This setting completely disables packet capture (sniffing) on the Sentinel. This is accomplished by unchecking the "Enable traffic sniffing" checkbox in the sensor configuration.
Bug fixes
- The monitored traffic graph was displaying bytes per second although the displayed unit was bits per second
- The new sensor status widget was not displaying certain types of errors correctly
